SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, and really what that means is getting to the top of Google when someone searches.
If someone searches in related to what you do, you want to come up in the search as the top 3 results. Google is so efficient now a days that no one ever goes to the 2nd page of Google. There is no need because those 3 at the top are enough.
Now — let’s do a little myth debunking about SEO before I give you those top 3 — for starters — you have heard — SEO is never ever going to work.

You will never rank high in SEO unless you have been publishing content for a really long time using keywords related to your business that people are searching for.
However, you will come up in a few related searches about your business if anyone gets remotely close to your search terms.
Another myth is that there is someone out there who you pay who can get you to the top of Google with SEO. But what happens is that they will do more damage than good.
These people and their practices will damage your website with Google and will cause issues. You will be black marketed by Google and your entire web presence can disappear.
This has happened and it has even happened to the mighty Ebay before. We want to make it easy for you without having issues like that.
There are people out there that their main job is to do just SEO, but these people are very expensive and cost a lot of money which you do not have to spend, so I am going to share with you some ways that you can boost your SEO — some best practices without breaking the bank.
Now, these plugins are based on using WordPress — so be sure you understand that.
#1 Yoast SEO
Yoast has been around for years and one of the top 3 or 4 downloaded plugins for WordPress. It is free.
You install it and then it is set up by default to work. It just works. There are some tutorials on how to use it more effectively to give you a little better chance of ranking.
It will up your chances dramatically in SEO ranking.
#2 Sqirrly
This has a free or a pro version. The difference between this one and the others is that this one has more features.
What it does in your blog post is it will make suggestions for usable stock images as you write and cover.
Basically you just do what it says and it will light up green when you have optimized your post to the best it can be.
#3 Rainmaker
Rainmaker is the platform that we use and they take care of ALL of this for you. If you visit the footer of this page, you can click the link that will take you to where you can download it as well.
They use Scribe and it does everything for you.
All the themes and everything are included. This does cost more, but it is well worth it. If you are trying to build a serious business — it is going to cost you more.
