At some point in time you started your business and now things are starting to grow and you find yourself short on time for things. That is where an accountant can help you and that is what we are diving into today.
Back in 2007 or 2008, I was attending an event in Atlanta, Georgia and there was a speech by Brad Fallon who is a clever and smart guy.
Of all the things he said, this resonated with me with me the most — “Stop playing with Quickbooks”. Now, at the time, I was using quickbooks for my business and this really hit home with me.

As soon as I got home, I started asking myself, why I was doing my own books. I needed to be doing something else more important and I needed to find someone who could help me do my books.
That was my first try at outsourcing, and I found Debbie who stayed with me for 9 years. She would still be with me today if she did not have to move on.
Since then, I have learned a bit by bit to outsource everything. I have learned to let go of the things that I am not really good at and have started handing those things off to people who are much better at it than I am.
You might think an accountant is too expensive, but there will be times you will need accountant, even if you think you can do it yourself and that you don’t need it — but you will.
Here are a few instances when you might need accountant
Business Plans
Have you ever written a business plan before? Do you even know where to start? What all to include? Do you think it is a program you download?
No.
That is where an accountant comes in. They work on things like cash flow, company formations, loan applications, etc and they know everything there is to know about what to include and what not to include.
What if you get hit with a tax inspection?
An accountant can help you do all of this without you ever having to lift a finger. It is seriously worth the expense of hiring someone who is a professional accountant (not just a bookkeeper).
