Fridays are for weekend challenges and this week I have a good one for you — you are going to try something new. Even I am going to do this one.
So, let’s grab your pad and grab your pencil and see what kind of challenge this will be.

The reason is because when you write this down, it engages your brain instead of just tapping it into your electronic gadgets like tablets and computers and such.
Weekend Challenge
#1: Add a New Social Media Platform to the Mix: Now I am going to assume that you are probably already on Twitter and Facebook, and hopefully Linkedin.
If not, you need to consider being on those because those are the main ones and you really need to be active on those if you are a business.
If you are not using Linkedin, you probably should be.
People will look for you on Facebook and Twitter.
I am going to suggest you add another one — how about Instagram or Pinterest?
I would say Instagram because it is coming on quick.
#2 Change the Style of Your Blog Writing: Now, I am assuming you re blog writing because that is how your customers get to know you, like you and trust you, so you should be writing on your blog.
If you are, change it up a bit.
What we do is we break it down into a numbered list. It isn’t always a number in the title.
When you read one of our posts, we show you how to do something, and each list item will have an example of what we are talking about.
We add subheaders and bullet points which makes it easier to read and breaks the post up.
We add images of screen shots which provide examples of what we talk about.
This is a great way to link to others and get them to notice what you are doing.
Don’t forget to add a conclusion of what the post was about and make sure to include a call to action. This call to action can be to sign up for your freebie you are giving away, leave a comment, etc.
#3 Enhance Your Blogger Outreach Efforts: Like I mentioned above, if you link to the blog or website of the example you are showing in your post, you can link to that persons’ website, Twitter, Facebook, etc.
Then you can email them and tell them how much you love them and share with them about using them as an example in your post and then give them the link.
Don’t ask them to share but you can ask them to take a look and ask them what they think.
If you pick the right ones they have big influence. Be sure to do it more than once and eventually they will start sharing your content.
#4 Commit to Making One Video a Week: Now, if you are watching this, it is a video. But this video has also been re-purposed and turned into a podcast, an audio version, and a blog post on the site.
That’s all it takes and it only takes me about 10 minutes. Just try one. They are really easy.
I get all of that from one video.
#5 Add 3 More Emails to Your Auto Responder Sequence: I hope by now you are using an autoresponder like Aweber or MailChimp or one of the other thousands of email service providers.
This is where you do the automatic lead nuturing.
The more you add, the longer your sequence will send out.
#6: Delegate a Task to Somebody New: Now what I mean is delegate a task to someone who you have not delegated to before.
Many people have talents that are not being used because no one is giving them an opportunity.
Google allows their employees to spend 20% of their time trying something new as long as it involves Google in some way. How do you think they have come up with so many amazing things over the years?
Allow people to try things. If it doesn’t work out, then it doesn’t work out, but you won’t know if you don’t let them. You cannot do everything yourself.
That’s it! Have yourself a lovely weekend and I will be back on Monday with some more goodies for you.
