Although Justin Stenstrom never knew he was going to become an entrepreneur, it’s a path he was always destined to walk down.
As someone who never liked to follow rules, he couldn’t imagine himself doing anything else.
It’s something which suits him and has always liked having control of his own life and the route it takes.
And that is perhaps why he has had 21 jobs doing different things in differing environments. He’s been everything from a cashier at a grocery store to a personal trainer.
But he had always wanted to run his own online business with a website and blog.
Like many people in Justin’s position, he drew from personal experiences when deciding what he should do. He looked at what he had to offer.

Having combatted anxiety, depression and confidence issues, as well as problems getting into the dating scene, he decided to help others like him.
Now he offers support to men who are suffering from a lack of confidence in a wide-range of areas, from work to dating. His Elite Man brand focuses on just that, and he has some great tips for helping you to build confidence in yourself.
Becoming The Confidence Expert
Justin shared the experiences he battled through himself to help friends as well as other people looking for help. And his first attempt was by offering dating advice, which is what his first blog was about.
That exposed him to the things to avoid when being an entrepreneur, and the things he could do better. I didn’t make him a load of money, but it did give him important experience with coaching, blogging, running a website, connecting with people, and getting himself out there.
It was a necessary learning step towards realizing how to become successful.
His own experiences help him to connect on a personal level because of the things he has battled through himself. He can relate to the issues his clients are experiencing and allows him to provide better help.
Things happen for a reason, and they have put him on the path towards helping others.
He himself got a point where he felt suicidal. But now people find it hard to believe that he ever even had a problem. And those are the same results he sees when meeting people after he’s helped them.
But now he’s more than just a dating guy. He has become a life coach who helps in a wide range of problems facing people. In fact, business owners make up a lot of his work as they look to improve their confidence for the sake of their businesses.
Importance Of Being Confident
In order to improve your own confidence, you have to want to fix it in the first place. It’s not something that’ll be easy, and it won’t happen overnight. But when you make the decision and set aside time to achieve it, anyone can improve their confidence.
In fact, when you approach any problem you’re facing with that mindset, you’re far more likely to succeed.
And having confidence is so important because it is something you need to have in order to live the life you want.
Justin has never met someone who has zero confidence in everything they do. There are always areas of their lives where they excel and environments where they thrive. It is instead that they have areas of their life where they are looking for improvement.
It’s common for people to want the confidence to do something new, whether that’s giving a speech, leading a group at work, or talking to women.
But he does also get requests from people looking for advice in turning their hobby or passion into a career, as well as help getting more dates.
Seven Steps To Make That Change
There are seven steps which Justin uses with his clients in order to help them to achieve anything they want.
- Pretend to have confidence and to be great.
- Step out of your comfort zone.
- Have small wins and build them up over time.
- Work on your self-image.
- Befriend bold and confident people.
- Use self-hypnosis.
- Practice, practice and practice some more.
When you have no confidence, you need somewhere to start from. So this is why Justin recommends pretending to be someone with confidence, like James Bond. Walk in their shoes, talking like they do, and act like them.
When you project yourself into them, you’ll start to feel better and find that people are treating you differently. You start to get positive feedback from others, as they engage more with you. This helps you to build up real confidence by simply interrupting the behaviors you don’t like.
It’s is also important you don’t try and achieve too much too quickly. So when you need help dating, rather than walking straight up to the women in the club, first talk to people more in your everyday life, whether that’s an old couple on the street or a cashier.
You soon become better at communication, which then improves your social skills and confidence to enable you to approach those women in the club.
Likewise, you can draw on the energy of other people. Their attitude and the way they talk starts to rub off on you. So when Justin went on a rollercoaster with a daredevil friend, he went from being scared of the rides to actually enjoying them. Their energy aligned, and Justin felt the benefit.
And you can’t just tell yourself to be happy either, and often your self-conscious needs retraining. That’s why Justin recommends listening to self-hypnosis audiobooks and CDs. Over time, you can help control the bodily processes your self-conscious controls.
Taking those steps can make all the difference.
