In my experience of having spoken to clients and various business owners, they want to grow a business, but they haven’t really thought it through.
They want to grow their business, but that involves hiring more staff and then there are more problems.
Now, before you do all that, I want you to take a step back and make sure that you have all your ducks in a row. You need to make sure you have full plans and have thought it all through.

What does growth look like to you? Are you thinking, if we increase our sales by 30% we will do better. But — what if your staff is already working flat out and by you adding an extra 30%, it will put them way over to where they are being burdened down and overwhelmed.
Do you have the cash to buy the stock or buy the services? Have you considered that? That means you may be buying something and then paying them 30 days from now, and someone might be doing you that way as well.
You may be at the place where you need to hire someone for your staff because you are desperate and want to make that extra money, so you rush to hire someone that doesn’t necessarily fit in with your team.
Then, that is going to increase your problems because you created a problem you didn’t have before. You thought you were creating extra sales, a solution to your problem and more, but what you have done is actually just made it worse.
That is just a little reminder today.
Now — yesterday I finished my live webinar about growing your business today, and generally growing your business means creating more sales.
When I show you how to generate sales, it is also about doing things side by side — not just for growth’s sake.
The main thing I want you to do is just to take a step back and look at everything before you jump in. Your business needs a systems process so that you can do the job that needs to be done.
Take the time to put this step in place and I promise you it will make all the difference in the world. You have to be organized for things like this.
All of this sounds boring, but you will not regret it.
Drive Time Podcast
Today is Thursday and that means it is time for a drive time podcast. Today I am recommending The Marketing Cloudcast by Salesforce.
Salesforce is the biggest CRM which helps companies set things up. They interview great current marketers and the podcast goes up once a week.
They have interesting guests and talk a lot about marketing. It is great and you will definitely want to listen in on this one.
Tomorrow we have David Molnar for our ones to watch interview series. He is a photographer and loves talking about what he does so be sure to tune in as he shares a few tips with us.
