Today I am going to talk about what you need to create the perfect customer persona in 15 minutes or less, and then on Monday I will tell you why you need one.
You need to know who your target audience is and you want to find that one single person that is the perfect target.
So this is how we do it!
Are They Male or Female?
By now after all the videos and podcasts I have done, you should begin to know your audience. If you are just starting out and don’t know how to do this — I can help you figure it out.
But for those of you who have been doing this for a while, you should know your male and female audience ratio.
Even if you don’t have all the info, your best guess is better than nothing. It is a starting point and that is a great place to begin.
You need to know the age group of your target audience. You would not talk to someone who is in the 18-24 age range like you would talk to someone in the 45-50 age bracket.
Married or Single?
Another thing you need to know is whether or not your perfect persona is married or not. Knowing this is just as important as knowing the age bracket.
If you are a restaurant owner, you need to know all of these things.
You need to write all of these things down in a notebook — things like do they have kids, what is their name, do they work from home or do they have a job somewhere to where they commute to.
You need to know things like what type of job do they have. Are they in the service industry or are they are top quality person?
You need to get every single piece of information you can to create the perfect persona so that you can offer the best products or services out there.
