You may think you are doing social media the right way, but is it really working for you? Today I am going to share with you 5 easy ways you can create goals and make them stick when it comes to your social media presence.
So — let’s get into it — okay?
1: Brainstorm
You cannot come up with goals without brainstorming. Why not do that with someone else? You cannot be the top expert on everything and I am sure you have friends who are very clever, so why not ask them to help you?

For example — brainstorm what your goals are going to be. They are not going to be numbers or followers, but how you are going to engage on social media.
You might look for industry follows, people within your trade and industry so that you can earn and gain respect in that industry.
How about social media only discounts or the style of your graphics to create a branded theme? What about content theme?
Facebook likes posts so you need to decide on that style.
2. Make a Plan
Does planning scare you? If it does, it is time to get over it. Welcome to the new you!
You need to know the stages along the way to build your social media plan. I suggest you use the spreadsheet.
You might decide when you will post, when you will write, what you will write, the graphics you put up, etc.
Then you need to plan on how you are going to schedule it — such as using Buffer or Hootsuite.
Then you need to plan your interaction times — yes — it is social media — which means you need to be chatting and talking with your followers.
3. Get Feedback
This need to be from someone you trust and respect. It could be a school mate, or an industry person you respect.
4. Set Deadlines
You have to set deadlines for everything — if it is a goal you are wanting to achieve, you need a goal.
For example — if you have homework that you had a month to complete and turn in, but you decide to do it the night before it is due to be turned in — that is a deadline and a goal and it made you get on it, right?
Same with your social media goal — make them stick.
5. Set Yourself a Stretch Goal
A stretch goal that is one that is above and beyond. So when you brainstorm and plan, you set up your original goals. Once you do that, you then set up a stretch goal — one that will push you above and beyond your normal reach.
You can do this!
