People used to talk about being on a team in the business sense and I wondered what that meant. I have a staff and gradually learned that my team are those staff members are those who are involved in the project or business that I am working on.
I want you to consider this — when I talk about “team”, I want you to understand that this anybody you could talk to — this includes your spouse, kids, parents — anybody that you talk to about your business.

I want you to get everyone on board. We are all in this together right? The reason I say this is because there will be naysayers.
These are the people that do not have the entrepreneurial spirit like you do. They don’t understand and they don’t get it so they won’t encourage you in your business.
I want to encourage you to talk to people who will get it.
You need to know WHY you are in business. WHY are you trying to do what you are doing?
There was a reason you started this. You could have went to work for someone else doing this thing, so why didn’t you? You have a why so let’s think about that and drill down and figure it out.
Your why is a story — a whole reason for doing what you are doing.
After reading the E-Myth Book, I decided to change the whole way my Fire Protection Online Business was run.
I can remember lying on a bed in a hotel in August and I can remember reading this book and I got to the section about the Organizational Chart and it all of a sudden it clicked.
It was at that moment that I knew I was going to change the way my business was run and it has been doing great ever since.
That is what people want to hear — your stories of WHY you are doing what you are doing. So get your team to buy into it and give them the passion behind the business and get them involved.
Then you can ask people to help and support and they understand why and they will feel a major part and feel involved in the making of the business.
What if My Team is Overseas or In Another State?
Even if your team does not live in your area, that doesn’t mean you cannot chat with them and share your story.
Use Skype or something like that and have a sit down over the Internet and explain your passion. This will help them to see your vision and get them on board with what you are wanting done.
Make them interested by telling them the story. It will work. I promise.
Once everyone is on the same page, you build a team of support, a willing desire to build the business and that makes a huge difference.
